By special request, five years after the last screening, we are showing TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (James Cameron, USA 1991) again as part of our 70 mm series. The sequel to the 1984 "The Terminator" featured revolutionary special effects that had never before been seen. In the second film, 10 years have passed when Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is once again confronted with the danger from the future. A new virtually indestructible Terminator, the liquid metal, shapeshifting T-1000, comes to Earth to eliminate Connor's 10-year-old son John before he can become the leader of the human resistance against the machines' reign of terror. Rebels from the future send Sarah an unexpected ally to protect John and stand in T-1000's way: A re-programmed older generation T-800 Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger). (Hans-Joachim Fetzer)
